Central Valley water runs hard, evaporation is brutal from June through September, and deck slabs move with the seasons. That combination attacks grout lines, scales the waterline band, and works coping stones loose long before the pool shell has a problem.
We start every tile and coping job with a walk of the full perimeter: sounding tile for hollow spots, checking the bond beam, looking for a missing expansion joint, and testing water chemistry. Then we quote the repair that fixes the cause, whether that is a ten foot section or the whole perimeter.
